TASK FORCE KAPATID DEPLOYMENT: QUEZELCO II EXTENDS ASSISTANCE TO PALECO

Quezelco II Warriors of Light sa Palawan Electric Cooperative Inc (PALECO)

A week before Christmas, Super Typhoon Odette badly hit the southern Philippines affecting Northern Mindanao, parts of Visayas, and making its last landfall in Palawan before exiting the Philippine Area of Responsibility on December 17, 2021.

Due to the strong winds and heavy rains brought by the typhoon, many community infrastructures, businesses, agricultures, fisheries, telecommunications, water systems, and electrical facilities has been severely damaged.

With this, Task Force Kapatid was immediately activated wherein line workers of non-affected Electric Cooperatives (ECs) are mobilized to provide assistance to other ECs in the restoration of electricity in the affected areas.

Our gallant QUEZELCO II Task Force Kapatid Contingents led by Foreman Nilo Cuballes together with Randy Munda, Russel Evardome, Manny Escalante, and Jhandell Azul wholeheartedly responded to this meaningful call of duty. They were deployed in Palawan and departed on December 28, 2021 thru the Barge Shipping Vessel.

Aside from spending their holidays away from their families, they will also face challenges and possible risks during the restoration period just to bring hope and light after the devastating experience brought by the onslaught of Typhoon Odette.

Our Warriors of Light proved that when you love what you do and when you are true to your commitment, it is always a great opportunity to be a part of something bigger.
