41st Annual General Membership Assembly (AGMA)

On May 25, 2024, Quezelco II held its highly anticipated 41st Annual General Membership Assembly (AGMA) at the Northern Quezon Auditorium. The event, themed “Achieving the Goals of Rural Electrification: Recognizing the Role of Enhanced MCO Engagement in Powering Filipino Communities,” brought together an impressive 6,142 Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs) in a display of unity and shared purpose.

The assembly was graced by Deputy Ernesto of the National Electrification Administration (NEA), who served as the guest of honor. His presence underscored the importance of the event and the crucial role that MCOs play in the continued success of the Electric Cooperative.

Deputy Ernesto Silvano Jr. delivered an inspiring keynote address, emphasizing the milestones achieved in rural electrification and the essential contribution of engaged MCOs. He praised QUEZELCO II’s CSR, particularly its scholarship program, which aside from providing electricity, is also a priority of the cooperative to help students to have a good education, finish their education and have a bright future.

During the 41st AGMA, Municipal Mayor of Infanta, Hon. Filipina Grace R. America, Municipal Admin, Engr. Rainier Aquino of Real, Quezon and former PNP Chief, General Elmo “Ringo” Sarona delivered a fruitful message, emphasizing the importance of electricity in our lives. They also highlighted QUEZELCO II’s commitment to ensuring that no one left in the dark, as the cooperative diligently fulfills its mandate to electrify its franchise areas.

The assembly featured various segments, including a detailed presentation on the current state and future plans of Quezelco II. The Board of Director President, Dir. Annie A. Moises and General Manager, Engr. Von Erwin G. Azagra shared insights on recent accomplishment, challenges faced, and strategic initiatives aimed at furthering rural electrification goals. They also discussed on going and upcoming projects designed to enhance service reliability and efficiency.

Moreover, the assembly provided a platform for MCO’s to voice their concerns, suggestions, and feedback. This open dialogue session underscored Quezelco II’s commitment to transparency and responsiveness, fostering a more inclusive and participatory approach to governance.

The event concluded with a message of gratitude from the board, thanking all MCO’s for their unwavering support and cooperation. They reaffirmed their commitment to achieving the goals of rural electrification and highlighted the pivotal role of MCO engagement in powering Filipino communities.

Quezelco II’s 41st AGMA was not just a celebration of past achievements but also reaffirmation of their mission and vision. As they look to the future, the cooperative remains steadfast in its commitment, powered by the active engagement and unwavering support of its Member-Consumer-Owners.

Before the end of the program, QUEZELCO II prepared prizes for our dear MCOs as a token of appreciation for their participation and support.
