QUEZELCO II SUCCESSFULLY HELD ITS 39TH VIRTUAL ANNUAL GENERAL MEMBERSHIP ASSEMBLY

Another momentous event has been successfully conducted by Quezon II Electric Cooperative, Inc. (QUEZELCO II), which has reached more than 7000 views from our valued Member-Consumer-Owners who blissfully watched and participated via Facebook Live and Zoom Platform the 39th Annual General Membership Assembly (AGMA) of QUEZELCO II with a Local Theme, “Strength in Unity: Stand together in Realizing our Vision for Sustainable Rural Electrification”. This was anchored in the National Theme, “Leaving No One Behind: Achieving Social Equitability through Rural Electrification and Empowerment of Filipino Communities”.

Despite the new normal set-up, viewers from different municipalities all over the franchise areas of QUEZELCO II lend their ears to the notable messages and annual reports presented and discussed during AGMA.

The event was graced by the inspirational messages of our Honorable Mayors from Metro REINA and Island Municipalities of Northern Quezon; Mayor Diana Abigail Diestro-Aquino of Real, Mayor Filipina Grace America of Infanta, Mayor Eliseo Ruzol of General Nakar, Mayor Angelique Bosque of Polillo, Mayor Freddie Aman of Burdeos, Mayor Alfred Rigor Mitra of Panukulan, and Mayor Nelmar Sarmiento of Jomalig.

Our APEC Partylist Representative, Cong. Sergio Dagooc, PHILRECA Partylist Representative, Cong. Presley De Jesus, Quezon First District Representative, Cong. Mark Enverga and Quezon Provincial Governor, Hon. Doc. Helen Tan assured their unwavering commitment and support to QUEZELCO II in providing sustainable electrification towards continuous development of our communities.

Dignitaries from the National Agencies and National Electric Cooperative Associations, GM Allan Laniba, President of NAGMEC (National Association of General Managers of Electric Cooperatives), Hon. Agnes DST Devanadera, Chairperson of the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), and Hon. Emmanuel P. Juaneza, Administrator of the National Electrification Administration (NEA) commended the BODs, Management, and personnel of QUEZELCO II for their untiring fulfillment of the Coop’s mission - to deliver quality and efficient electric service to the community. They also encourage MCOs to continuously support QUEZELCO II’s projects and programs for the betterment of Coop’s operation especially during this challenging times.

Newly elected Board of Directors from District II - Infanta (Dir. Odon Oliva), District III -General Nakar (Dir. Rowilson Custombrado), and District V - Polillo Group of Islands (Dir. Edelyn Fuertez) took their oath led by Atty. Ronilo Conde during the said activity.

On the second part of the business meeting, 2021 List of Board Resolutions passed by QUEZELCO II Board Members was enumerated by Board President Annie A. Moises, as well as the distinguished awards received by the Coop on PHILRECA’s Awards from the Wires held last August 27, 2021.  The status of electrification, important events, financial position, and other on-going Coop projects were reported by Engr. Von Erwin G. Azagra, General Manager of QUEZELCO II. In addition, a comprehensive presentation of the cause of increase in power bills of every consumers was also discussed by Ms. Yvette S. Astrera, Finance Services Department Manager to provide MCOs a clearer understanding on the aforementioned issue.

After the reporting, an open forum was conducted to provide opportunity to MCOs to clarify related matters or raised concerns pertaining to the operations of QUEZELCO II.

On the other hand, to keep the excitement of MCOs during the AGMA, a motorcycle and hundreds of Cash were given away to lucky MCOs who won during the raffle draws segment.

With the time and messages given by our Speakers, efforts of QUEZELCO II’s BODs and employees, and love of our dear MCOs, the 39th Annual General Membership Assembly was a success!
